A lower level became a hidden speakeasy lounge — built around a dramatic feature wall of real bamboo, a full bar and kitchenette, and clean modern finishes.
The best custom work solves a design idea, not just a floor plan. For this hideaway we framed the space from scratch, engineered a structure to carry a floor-to-ceiling wall of natural bamboo poles, and finished it out with a bar, a kitchenette, and a powder bath — the kind of one-of-a-kind room you can’t buy off a plan.
Framing a hidden lounge
We started by framing the room and its stairway, laying out the structure around where the bar and the bamboo feature wall would live.
A wall of real bamboo
The signature of the space is a feature wall built from full bamboo poles, individually set into a custom frame — a natural, textural centerpiece that had to be structured and detailed by hand.
A speakeasy bar and kitchenette
A full bar and kitchenette — cooktop, cabinetry, and counter space — turns the lounge into a real entertaining space, not just a showpiece.
A floating vanity in the powder bath
The adjoining powder bath is finished with a sleek floating vanity, carrying the clean, modern look through every corner of the space.
