Pine Stain Bookshelf Wall
A blank wall became a floor-to-ceiling custom bookshelf — a full grid of pine shelving framed, fit, and hand-stained on site into a warm, architectural feature wall.
A true built-in is carpentry, not furniture. Every shelf has to be level, every opening square, and the whole grid has to read as one clean piece against the wall. We built this bookshelf wall in place — laying out the grid, cutting and fitting each division, and finishing it with a rich stain that brings out the grain of the pine.

Laid out on the wall
We started by framing the base and setting the layout across the full width of the wall — getting the base run dead level so every shelf above it would land true.
A full grid of pine
From there we built up the grid — verticals, shelves, and cubbies fit tight and square, wall to wall and floor to ceiling. Raw pine, carefully joined.

Fit tight and clean
Each shelf and divider was fit for a tight, consistent reveal — the kind of close carpentry that makes a built-in look like it was always part of the house.

Hand-stained, wall to wall
A rich stain brought the whole wall together — deepening the grain and turning a grid of pine into a warm, finished architectural feature.
